Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Refurbishment with reflective vest

On Monday, the year-long refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom pressed on, with crew members clad in high-visibility reflective vests diligently carrying out their tasks. The bright vests stood out vividly against the rugged theming of the attraction, ensuring safety as work progressed.

An envelope tester had been positioned on the track behind the lift hill, a key tool for verifying adequate space around the ride vehicles. Since wrapping up the coaster's new track a few weeks prior, Disney crews, easily identifiable in their reflective gear, had been using these testers along with test vehicles to perfect the ride experience.

Near the mountain's facade, workers in reflective vests focused on the bridge and rock formations. The bridge, almost fully deconstructed and rebuilt to fit the new track, was now the site of railing installation. Three crew members, their reflective vests catching the light, carefully secured new railings on the side closest to Rivers of America, where horizontal beams had recently been added beside the track.

At the point where the track curved into the mountain, a crew member in a reflective vest was meticulously painting the rockwork. The individual touched up the reddish-brown paint in weather-worn areas, their vibrant vest serving as a constant reminder of the safety measures in place during this extensive refurbishment. Despite a remaining hole in the rockwork near the track, the team's efforts, marked by their bright reflective vests, signaled steady progress towards the ride's grand reopening.
